Schizophrenia Types:
• Catatonic Schizophrenia
• Disorganized schizophrenia
• Paranoid schizophrenics
• Undifferentiated schizophrenics
• Residual schizophrenia
Schizophrenia Symptoms:
The “positive” symptoms of schizophreniaare considered to be auditory hallucinations; visual hallucinations; gustatory hallucinations; olfactory hallucinations; kinesthetic hallucinations; delusion; paranoia; feelings of persecution; disorganized speech; purposeless behavior; unpredictable behavior; bizarre behavior; delayed/decreased reaction, depersonalization and derealization.
The “negative” symptoms of schizophreniainclude: flattened emotion; minimal expression of emotion through body language and facial expressions; alogia (lack of vocalization), short, concise, simplistic wording; difficulty intellectualizing; avolition (the absence of will-power); disinterest; lack of enthusiasm, memory problems and difficulty concentrating/making decisions
Bipolar Types:
1- Bipolar I Disorder: Presence of one or more manic or mixed (a mixture of manic and depressive symptoms in the same episode) episodes.
2- Bipolar II Disorder: Presence of one or more major depressive episodes accompanied by at least one hypomanic episode.
3- Cyclothymic Disorder: Presence of numerous hypomanic episodes and episodes of depression.
Bipolar Symptoms:
People with Bipolar Disorder can quickly swing from extremes of happiness, high energy & activity levels to sadness, fatigue and despair. Suicide occurs in 10%-15% of patients with the disorder.
Depression Types:
• Major Depression: presence of 5 or more symptoms of depression during the same two week period: with or without psychosis, hypomanic symptoms, or anxious features.
• Bipolar Depression: presence of hypomanic or manic episodes interspersed with episodes of Major Depression.
• Persistent Depressive Disorder: presence of 2 or more symptoms of depression for more days than not for at least 2 years or chronic Major Depression lasting for more than two years,
Depression Symptoms:
• Difficulty concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions
• Fatigue and decreased energy
• Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and/or helplessness
• Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism
• Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping
• Irritability, restlessness
• Loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable, including sex
• Overeating or appetite loss
• Persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment
• Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings
• Thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts

Anxiety Disorder Symptoms:
• Feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness
• Problems sleeping
• Cold or sweaty hands and/or feet
• Shortness of breath
• Heart palpitations
• An Inability to be still and calm
• Dry mouth
• Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
• Nausea
• Muscle tension
• Dizziness
